It is another success with The Manila Times’ 122nd Anniversary Economic Digital Forum that happened on October 20, 2020, entitled,“Regroup and Rally: Bouncing Back Better” via live stream broadcast at TMT’s official Facebook account. This digital conference was co-presented by InfiniVAN, Inc. as one of TMT’s solid partners.
Said online event was moderated by TMT’s very own Mr. Dante “Klink” Ang who guided the discussion’s focus on how the country is handling the current situation mainly on COVID-19 Pandemic and the changes it already made from one industry to another.
The guests for this anniversary event were composed of known sectors starting with the forum’s keynote speaker, Department of Finance Sec. Carlos Dominguez, followed by Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila, Jr. of the Monetary and Economic Sector – Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, World Bank’s Senior Economist, Rong Qian, and Lobien Realty Group’s CEO Sheila Lobien.
One of the topics highlighted in the forum was the digitalization of the Philippine economy. By mentioning its advantages and disadvantages, it was seen by economists that the country has great potential when it comes to getting opportunities amidst the pandemic if there will be more improvement in the aspect of advanced technology especially Internet connectivity.
Moreover, the forum went on to provide additional information on the visible economic factors involving demands, restrictions, mobility, and even the vaccine concerns that hopefully soon will be given.
